a dreamer's prayer

And now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul will keep.

And should I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul will take.

And even if I never rise,
I'll never lose my shining eyes.

For death alone is not the end,
Our souls the Lord to heaven sends.

Make no mistake, our life is sweet,
But think not ill of heavy sleep.

For dreamers live a thousand lives,
And worry not to say goodbyes.
