It's such a mystery why they come when they only ever leave.
We feel like they're the best thing that's ever happened to us, until it's over.
Then we finally contemplate what it was really like, what they really did to us.
We focus so much on the good that we completely ignore the bad.
Until the day when you find the one whose good overpowers the bad.
Until the time that you realize you still love them even when they nearly push you off the edge of your limits.
When you reach the point where it's not just an attraction, it's an understanding.
Complete acceptance.
I might not know just yet, but I will soon enough.
